JLG Forklift Parts - After retiring in the late 1960's, John L. Grove started out on a cross country RV voyage. After spending many years establishing his family built crane business with his brother, John had no idea that this journey would give birth to the rise of JLG Industries, Inc. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision material handling equipment was the end result of a road trip.

While on their journey, John spent time talking to previous business associates whom the Groves stopped to see along the way. These conversations combined with a tragic event-two workers being electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were traveling to the Hoover Dam- John discovered an infinite marketplace for a product that could swiftly and securely elevate people in the air to accomplish maintenance and other construction functions.

Following their return from vacation, John set up a partnership with two of his friends and bought a metal fabricating company in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. Starting with a small crew of twenty staff, they fashioned and sold their first JLG aerial work platform in 1970. The business incorporates some of the basic design essentials of that original lift into current versions.

Since then, JLG Forklifts have come a long way from when Mr. John L. Grove returned from his fatefull cross-country journey and since the first JLG aerial platform entered the market. As of today, the company has extended itself into several global markets and continues to cultivate modern equipment to guarantee that consumers are able to become safer and more resourceful within their workplace.
